Be a leader! [Give hope to the hopeless]

                            My inspiring story:  

                      My name is Bulelani Ndzuzo, and I am somebody!

‘’ I was somebody when I came here, and I will be somebody when I leave! I have things to do, places to go, people to impress. I believe that I won't probably drive my own car one day, but will be driven!’’.

After matriculating, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey with the intention to familiarize a collaboration of traditional home brews with public works initiatives, that would help uplift and promote traditional food and beverages, Mbekweni community feels are mostly neglected. In the spirit of my inquisitive personality, I was curious how these traditional home brews were made and which ingredients and methods were used to create such an outstanding trend. In response to this inquisitiveness, I applied with the International Hotel School, to embark on a traineeship programme in Professional Cookery for the 2017 intake. As they were impressed with my application, I got accepted conditionally.

I am a mentee with National Youth Development Agency, where I completed my EDP [Entrepreneurship Development Programme] which enables me to qualify for a grant programme.

under threshold 1 : [R10 000] that will help me with the necessary resources to  kick-start my small business.

I am a member and service representative at Mbekweni Youth Centre, where my small business idea was nurtured. Most of my time I spend it with young people. empower young men and women from different walks of life, Promote young men and women on a self discovery journey to finally change their lives around. The drive was always to help assist youth identify their real purpose in life.

Now as a young person mentored by the likes of Solly Moeng [Convenor, Analyst, Senior Consultant @Don Valley] , Themba Victor Baba [Former chairperson of SAMWU], Loyiso Sibelekwana [Current SAFA-Capewinelands Vice]. I am encouraged to promote a culture that will enable me as a young person myself to connect with the human element; a culture that can encourage engagement from potential young leaders ,in making this initiative a remarkable experience that would enhance ,Promote and empower young leaders in the Mbekweni community.

My story defines my life, my story should give hope to the hopeless. My story should encourage,motivate and amuse young people. Nobody was born perfect! But everyone was born to make choices, choices that will enable you to shape your future, choices that will make you a better person!

I have made so many bad choices for myself, it is through those choices that I became a bigger person! It is because of the choices I have made that shaped me to this insightful young man that I am today.

I am an inspiration to myself, and by being so innovative and positive. I want to be a inspiration to so many young people in my community.
